The Founder
Jon Hoffman has an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth and a mechanical engineering degree from Northwestern University. They grew up in Vernon Hills and have lived in Chicagoland for their entire life.
Jon started their career designing automated manufacturing equipment, helping the world’s largest companies figure out how to best manufacture new products.
Jon then moved to the buy-side with Videojet Technologies (a Danaher company). Videojet is the largest industrial printer company in the world. Jon originally was hired to source next-generation manufacturing equipment, but they worked there way into other responsibilities, eventually leading all strategic projects for the manufacturing facility in Elk Grove Village.
Jon worked on everything from insourcing a new product line to finding the company a new time clock. They have experience solving all kinds of operations problems and are eager to solve these types of problems for their own business
Jon also is actively involved in charity work. They plan to donate >50% of the profits of their business and have donated >20% of their income in the last two years to causes like reducing extreme poverty. During covid, they also helped organize for a mutual aid group that delivered groceries to people in need.
Jon also likes to drink Malort, watch live music, and manage their fantasy football team (which unfortunately did not do well this year).
